Therapeutic Shoes & Inserts
Guide to Wearing New Therapeutic Shoes and Inserts
A break-in period is often necessary for your feet to become accustomed to any footwear. For best results, wear new shoes one hour or less the first day of use. Increase your wear time by one hour each day until you can comfortably wear them the entire day.
At least three or four times per day, remove both shoes and socks and examine your feet. Look for swelling, redness, or rise in temperature. If any of these symptoms occur, or if you find anything out of the ordinary, discontinue use immediately and contact your practitioner for further instructions.
Foot health professionals often recommend that people with sensitive feet do not wear the same pair of shoes on consecutive days. Please let us know if we can help you with an alternate pair.
